Ghostgram started as a personal frustration. Every messaging app either harvests your data, locks encryption behind a paid tier, or requires a phone number just to sign up. We wanted something different — a messenger where privacy is the default, not an afterthought.
This project was built from scratch by a small team who believes that private communication is a fundamental right, not a business model. There are no ads, no tracking pixels, no analytics on your conversations. The relay server never sees your messages — it only passes encrypted bytes between devices.
We chose to build on modern cryptography (X3DH, Curve25519, AES-256-GCM) and a zero-knowledge architecture because half-measures don't cut it. Your keys live on your device. Your messages are encrypted before they leave. And the server couldn't read them even if it wanted to.
